What is the name of your state? California

If audio was recorded with the consent of both parties (as is the law in California), can it then be used in a film? Would both parties need to be notified that it will be used or is it automatically okay since there was consent for the recording initially?

You would need to obtain releases from the parties to use their words in your film.
