Consult an attorney....medical debts are tricky ones in Indiana. Unfortunately it honestly depends to some extent on the provider themselves whether or not they can/will go after you for his debts.
A judge would likely order that he is responsible for his own medical debts...but the providers are not a party to your divorce...so they are not bound by the judge's decision.
