We live in Iowa:)
My fiance and I have a Small Claims Judgment entered against a person for "Wrongfully Collected Child Support" in the amount of $2,500.00 and we have already requested many Judgment Debtor's Examinations and we have questioned the defendant under oath concerning her property and during the examination she stated that she does not own any property, well I just thought about it, and she owns a computer, can we have the computer seized so that we can be paid some of the amount of the judgment? And if we decided to, can we request to keep the computer instead of being paid the money for it? Please help and answer my question ASAP so that I will beable to call the Clerk of Court tomorrow morning and know a bit about the I am talking about. Thank you so much, Shannon:)
