My ex is squating on my couch because her bf kicked her out. We have 2 kids. She hasn't worked a day since our break up in 2004. Nothing has gone through courts.

I want to petition for custody. I am the sole breadwinner since 1999 and our break up un 2004 and since then. She has no motivation to work.

Aside from couch she has no place to go. I am in a jam because she stays with kids while I work (I am a pilot) She has lived in 2 other states depending on men to support her dragiing kids with her. She even lived at my mother's for 3 years!!!!! Mom did it for kids. It was hell!!!!!

My support never ended for kids but I am sure she spent alot on herself. This has got to end it's eating me up inside and cannot move on with some fat sloth squatter on my couch!! What can I do? Please help!!!!!!What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Has paternity been established in court? Go ahead and file for custody and find a good daycare center for the kids.

We don't think much of people who relentlessly insult the other parent of their children.

I don't think court order would be a problem. I apologize for the insult but if you have done some much to help her out over 5 years of support, paying for her online training in several fields that she never finshed. Bought her a car so she can get employment and drive to work. NO JOB YET. Bought car in 2005. I lived like a gypsy and almost every dime went to her to support kids while I made crap money working for regional airlines. I pay for her insurance for car, phone so I can call my kids while I am on trips. She just sits on her ass ALL NIGHT LONG on the internet and sleeps all day.

RESPECT IS EARNED!

Where can I get 24 hr care for kids while I am at work?NO family to help. I rented a little two bedroom apt in 2008 while she lived in a 1 bedroom place with my kids with the last boyfriend she had. I got a 2 nedroom so kids can have a room!! He threw her out. Her stuff is still there and driver license is his address.

4-5 months I think. I am pretty sure court has to get rid of her. She firmily believes no judge will award me kids for me and sitter to take care of. She is delusional.

Nanny is option but most require a room for them. I am in a 2 br right now with a bid for a 3 br house (short sale) You know how that goes. Lease up in July.

When you move into the house, you can inform her that she will not be welcome to move with you, and you can petition for emergency custody since she will be homeless. Might not work but you can try. Consult an attorney.

I guess I have to endure until I move into house. Emergency custody? Why might not work? I spoke to attorney and she said even with child support she would not be able to afford a stable environment for kids. She has no income whatsoever.

She might find a place to stay, so it might not be an emergency. A lawyer will make success much more likely.

Make sure your mom won't take her in again, and STOP ENABLING HER yourself.

OH no. Mom will not. She burned that bridge. She says she will take kids to Iowa again. It failed before. Then I will have to put up a fight.

if your only option is to hire a nanny, you have to prove mom is unfit. and from the looks of it, you leave the children with her for 24hour periods. so, how do you prove HER unfit without making you look just as unfit?
