MY gram developed Alzheimers in 2002, yet she still has some of her wits about her and lives at home. My sister has co-power of attorney with my uncle (who could care less). My aunt is being a huge p.i.t.a. threatening to put gram in a home and belittling my sister's care giving services which have become a full time job for her(my sister with me as a backup caregiver). We may have to subpeona for full guardianship of gram since none of her five children are being supportive and would rather see her languish in a home than be comfortable in her own - she has money and assets that they are interested in - we just want to care for our gram because we love her. How can we proceed in obtaining full p.o.a/guardianship if the situation worsens (right now it is borderline tolerable!) All replies welcome!

A: Get a lawyer and file for guardianship/conservatorship over gram.
