Please Help Me With Gambling Charges!!

I used to own a restaurant for 5 months it was a complete disaster and we had to close down because of the lanlord i`m from Pennsylvania,Pittsburgh.Anyways a friend of ours offered to lend us some $$ to get the business going but in order to do that we had to put his poker machines in our restaurant.Well after 2 months of being open in August of 01 we were doing terribly with the machines i was terrified of getting caught having poker machines noone would play well i gave in because we needed to pay back this man and the restaurant was located in a place i was unfamiler with the people,Well i payed off a cop for $25 dollars we even helped them get there keys out of there car that they locked in there and about a week later they came back and took our machines and now i`m charged with gambling devices,gambling CC5513 and also Criminal Conspiracy CC 0903 which Criminal Conspiracy is listed as a 1st class misdemeanor and i have NO idea what class the gambling charges are.When they came they seen we were odviously doing terribble with our machine play all they had took out was $9.00 from 5 machines and had even given that back to my partner when they were done,Well our so called friend was furious we got busted and refused to pay for a lawyer for us so i was court appointed one.While they were there they seen our books and seen we were not doing anything on them.Even said in the police report that the cop was paid from the register but when they came for the machines they never took the register or anything.Well our hearing is in a week and i`m terrified of going to jail because i have 3 children and medical problems i have acute asthma and panic disorder,I need to carry an inhaler around with me at all times because i had stopped breathing a few times because i didn`t have it with me and i`m scared they will take this from me in jail if that`s what i have to do...well i`ve never been in trouble with the law before so i`m terrified to the point where i can`t sleep all i do is cry in fear.Does anyone have any advice on what will happen with these charges i read the maximum sentencing is 5 years this terrifies me to think of loosing my kids for 5 years over $34!! Also can they take doctor prscribed meds from you in jail?Please someone give me some advice,I was the one who was the owner plus was the one who had paid the cop
