What is the name of your state?KS
Im in kansas but my child is in MN, Ok, my problem is what if the mother will not allow me to speak or see my child? She is now 4 I have seen her maybe 3 times. I was in the military when the judgement was calculated and once I got out the agency wouldnt recalculate with out me getting a lawyer. I have been unable to pay any support and it has just accured to a staggering amount. Now the mother wants me to give up my parental rights, how would i go about doing this in the state of MN? Also, if I filled a modification, would her being married effect the amount, her husband is making quite a bit of money. Please help!

her husbands income does not matter- he has no legal obligation to the child

do you have a visitation/custody order? if not then mom does not have to let you see the child, it cruel and unfortunate but that is the way it is

(I can also see why you were so angry when you misinterpreted my post) ;)

even if you did terminate your parental rights and the step dad adopted your child you are still on the hook for all the back support, interest and penalties.
