What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Alabama/New York

I live in Ala, my ex in NY- Final Custody was done in Aug, the children will rotate between states each yr. Ex's Mom continues to file false reports.

My ex's Mother has filed over 26 unfounded reports against me-with CPS, made false statements to Drs, etc. My ex has been very civil since the hearing, has went above and beyond so that we may both effectively "co-parent." My ex agrees that something should be done about her mother constantly making statements and lying to the Dr's.Ala Atty states it is a matter for NY,as thats where the abuse allegations and statements are being made.NY District Atty states nothing criminal has been done, and that I can have an Atty send her a "Cease and Desist Letter." 2 NY Attys advised me its an Ala matter.
If anyone has any answers, suggestions-it would be greatly appreciated....

Nana has called Social Services in NY in the past and all have been unfounded. Before the custody was settled in Aug. Last Christmas, my visitation was again denied by my ex(one of many), and I drove up to NY to get my children with Police assistance. After leaving the police station to head back to ALA, my ex's Mom (Nana) called the NY State Police claiming I abducted the children and wanted an Amber Alert put out. CPS also dismissed that. Most Recently, my ex's Mom has told my daughter's Dr. that I did not give my daughter her medication all summer, and based on that the Dr increased my daughters dosage. My ex's Mom also told the Dr that I was abusing her and my daughter was now going to a counselor, which is not true-no CPS report was filed this time, however the Dr will not speak with me, and will not grant my request for additional records. I had to get a subpoena for medical records previously, even though I have sent my Custody agreement to the Dr.

I would think if the grandmother put out a false amber alert ( where does she have that right ,however ? ) , and knowing it was false charges could be filed against her and her ordered to pay restitution for the manpower to investigate it .

It's all water under the bridge now ,but if she should ever pull it again , it may be a recourse .

Having said that if the reports GM makes are screened and accepted ,it's not criminal .

A cease and desist letter by an attorney you consult for a small fee may work .

As far as counseling records , how old is the child ?

The councilor is there pretty much to council the child and will use their best interest when giving out file documents .If the child is 12 years of age or older ,the release of records have to be signed off by the child .

As far as GM having access to DRs. offices , Both you should request that she not be allowed any access at ALL to the offices or information .
