What is the name of your state? New Jersey
I have an Audi A4 1.8 Turbo, 2002 model. It has 32k miles on it--I purchased it brand-new with a warranty of 4 years/40k miles. Ever since the 1st month, there has been nothing but problems:

1. 1 month after purchase----Driving over 70 mph, the car would shake uncontrollably. I didnt know what the problem was--brought it in, told it was an alignment issue. They fixed it.

2. 3 months later--windshield had a crack at the corner, which spread and grew over time. was told it was due to stress. replaced.

3. 6 months---speaker died--no sound at all. replaced.

4. 1 year after purchase---no wiper fluid emitted, even if full. they had to replace the motor.

5. 1.5 years -----window wipers stopped working--completely. they fixed it.

6. 1.75 years----engine is having problems. when accelerating, there is no power at all. told that it was an engine coil problem, and they *just* fixed it

As a consumer, do i have any rights? I am close to having my warranty expire, and with a track record as such---I am going to enter into a world of pain and $$ shortly.

I think I have a lemon---can I exchange/get a refund/ anything?

please advise!

My response:

I didn't even need to read your post to tell that you have a lemon.

"Audi" is synonymous with "Chrysler" or "Fiat."

You buy one, and you're in for the time of your life - - and so is your wallet.

Get rid of it.

Okay--I have no problem with unloading it! Any idea how? Besides, obviously, selling it privately?

Can I somehow tell the dealer/Audi I have a lemon? And I would like a partial refund?

Ah, don't ya' just love sarcasm.... and the ability to recognize it??

CP:
You don't have a valid 'lemon law' complaint. The NJ Lemon law only covers the vehicles first 2 years of ownerhip, or up to 18k miles, whichever comes first. In your case, with 32k miles, your car is out of 'statute' protection.

Here is an excerpt of the NJ statute:
"56:12-33. Presumption of inability to correct noncomformity; written notification
a. It is presumed that a manufacturer or its dealer is unable to repair or correct a nonconformity within a reasonable time if, within the first 18,000 miles of operation or during the period of two years following the date of original delivery of the motor vehicle to a consumer, whichever is the earlier date:
(1) Substantially the same nonconformity has been subject to repair three or more times by the manufacturer or its dealer and the nonconformity continues to exist; or
(2) The motor vehicle is out of service by reason of repair for one or more nonconformities for a cumulative total of 20 or more calendar days sin ce the original delivery of the motor vehicle and a nonconformity continues to exist.
b. The presumption contained in subsection a. of this section shall a pply against a manufacturer only if the manufacturer has received written notification, by or on behalf of the consumer, by certified mail return receipt requested, of a potential claim pursuant to the provisions of this act and has had one opportunity to repair or correct the defect or condition within 10 calendar days following receipt of the notification. Notification by the consumer shall take place any time after the motor vehicle has had substantially the same nonconformity subject to repair two or more times or has been out of service by reason of repair for a cumulative total of 20 or more calendar days.
c. The two-year term and the 20-day period specified in this section shall be extended by any period of time during which repair services are not available to the consumer because of a war, invasion or strike, or a fire, flood, or other natural disaster."

Thanks. Well, I guess the best I can do at this point is to trade it in or sell privately.
