What is the name of your state? texas
i need to know what i can do if they sold the contents of my self-storage unit without sending me notice or allowing me to satisfy past rent prior to auction day when contacted by email.

**A: did you live in the self=storage unit?
 
Ch 59 of the TX Property Code pertains to liens on property in self storage. Management can publish or post notifications that meet the requirements of proper service. If your possessions were sold without legal notification you can sue for damages under the Deceptive Trade Practices Consumer Protection Act (Ch 17 Subchapter E, Business and Commerce Code). You should consult with an attorney if you believe you were not properly notified.
