Can anyone tell me what the legal responsibilities are when you have been given medical POA? If a new will has been started but not completed is it the responsibility of the POA o make sure the new will is signed before a plug is pulled?
My friend has a stroke and recovered started a new will but had an other stroke his son (POA) phoned the lawyer and asked if the new will had been finished and discovered it had not been and then decided to pull the plug. His father was congnitive at the time .It was to the sons advantage that the new will had not been signed, he pulled the breathing tube and watched his dad die.

What are the legal responsibilies of a POA ? Is it his job to see his dads wishes have been carried out? He also had financial POA.
