A friend was on his way to the stock car races and was pulled over for a tail light on the trailor he was pulling was out. There was thr driver of the vehicle which was the owner and two passengers. The officer asked them all to step out of the vehicle and started searching the vehicle, the trailor and the stock car. He also searched the three citizens twice. He had them on the main highway of our town with thier socks and shoes off and never could find anything. The officer then started to put handcuffs on one of the citizens the man asked if he was under or arrest or was he just being retained for some reason. The officer refused to answer the citizen, so the citizen refused to put his hands behind his back. The officer then struck the citizen several times with the baton that he carries on his side. Once across the back, once in the back of the head, across each thigh above the knee. We have taken several photographs of the bruises. When the officer attacked the citizen with the baton the man took off running and hid under a building until other officers arrived. He did this for his own protection. How can we stop police officers from treating our citizens this way.

File a complaint, sue the officer & the department, get the media involved. If the men were minorities, alledge discrimination & sue in federal court. Talk to a civil rights lawyer.
