can a local in Police Union(NJ)be held liable for failing to represent 49% of its members if a contract vote is passed by 1 or 2 votes?
Our local is considering giving back senior patrolman's % longevity pay(which was lost in negotiations c.1990) in exchange for an increase in their fixed longevity amount. A contract vote along these lines, would be 13 - 12, in favor of giving away senior patrol longevity. Do senior patrolman have
legal recourse to prevent this?
