What is the name of your state? Texas

When police keep records of suicide attempts, are they strictly confidential or can they be obtained somehow? I know someone probably wouldn't go looking for such a thing, but I'd like to know. Thanks.

That depends on who is doing the looking and why. A record of the police response is likely public record in TX, while the record of any mental health treatment is confidential.

I wouldn't count on the police response or actions remaining confidential under a determined inquiry. In my state the police MAY keep that secret, but under certain circumstances they would have to release certain aspects of the information.

Check with a local attorney.
