State of FL. What our my rights. Last Nov. realtor showed my house to potential buyer. Took until Jan. to obtain a contract for sell. This was signed with closing date scheduled for 03-11-02.
No appraisal, inspections or survey's had been performed one week before closing date. After speaking with realtor was told that all was still ago and it would be ok to move out of my house and place my belongings in storage. I have been out of my house for going on 4 weeks. Last week an appraisals was obtained that was well under the asking price. (I was told that my asking price was fair prior to listing). Realtor said he would for go his commission to sell the house as long as I used him as a co-rep. for the new house I plan to build. This was one week ago and have yet to hear any more from realtor.

I am out of my house paying to live in to seperate households. My out of pocket expenses for this poor representation have cost me close to $1,000 in less than one month.

I have since run my own add in that my contract was officially over with the realtor in Jan.

What kind of recourse to I have to at least being reimbursed for my out of pocket expenses ?...Not enough money for the aggrevation and heartache.....

Thank you so much for your reply. I called Realtor today and was told that loan company did want to close by this fri. Final inspections are being requested.

I can not help but be a little apprehensive. I would really like to sell and be done with it and call it a lesson never to repeat. However, if this does not close in the following days I will take my contract to an attorney and have him and/or her advise me of my rights.
