Thrre years ago we had new carpet installed in a family room. The day of installation we questioned seams that were very noticeable. We had home inspections per our request 3 times and told by the dealer/installer it was normal and or would improve. The seam is worse than ever and now has starting unraveling. I have a 3 inch file where I made efforts and requests by phone, writing and personal visits to the dealer asking for help. They gave us the runaround and never responded. I finally got a factory rep that makes the carpet to come and inspect. He says 1. no seam adhesive was used on the seams 2. the seams should have been better planned as to be noticeable.

The dealer refuses to replace the carpet because he says the ONE year warranty is up.

We had him here in the beginning. We were misled as to the problem. Comminicated our concerns over and over well within ONE year.

It is not our fault he did not respond during the warranty period.

What can we do now? I can't afford to hire a lawyer.
