What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Illinois

My girlfriend is 17, which is the age of consent is my state, and I am over 18. I know that even though she is of the age of consent, it would be illegal for me to posses any nude pictures of her as that would be considered child porn until she is 18. But, would it be illegal for her to have any nude pictures of me?

It would be YOU that would get in trouble. You cannot provide CHILDREN with pornography. Do you want to be a sex offender? No? Then DO NOT DO IT! You have nothing special that she needs to see before she is 18 -- and I highly doubt she NEEDS to see it when she turns 18.

This is clearly one of those "if you have to ask if it's LEGAL, you're already in trouble" type of questions.

Seriously. Sharing pornographic photos of you with a child is what gets you in trouble. Encouraging HER to send them to you would ALSO be considered illegal.

You're presumably already having sex with her so why do you need pictures?

They would just end up on 4chan anyway.

You are not a Juvenile. YOU are an ADULT.

Please post to the correct forum.

Just to be clear. The AGE OF CONSENT has nothing whatsoever to do with this subject. The AGE OF CONSENT only covers sexual acts. The CHILD PORNOGRAPHY laws are unrelated to this. If this child is under 18, nude pictures or pictures suggesting a sexual act are ILLEGAL.

You should never give a woman photographic proof of your assets. She can then make firsthand comparisons elsewhere, to determine just how badly you come up lacking.

You really have no way ofknowing that. It is entirely possible OP took his own pictures of what he considers his finer assets.[/QUOTE]You haven't been around women between the ages of 16 and 30 since the advent of digital cameras, have you.

Correct, I simplified the "lascivious exhibition of genitals" because I doubted this was an artistic nude photo.

It doesn't really matter if the girl took the photo herself.

I have an 18yo daughter and 20yo son. So I'd say I have had pretty decent exposure to young women of that age. As well as young men. The majority of them are oretty decent and don't take lewd photos. Perhaps you need to start hanging with a better class of people. Or maybe the ones you hang with should - your post says more about you than anyone else...

and just to toss this into the mess: If she takes pictures of herself and distributes them, she is guilty of distributing child porn. There have been times where a prosecutor has attempted to charge the minor with charges of possession of child porn even if they are of themselves. I don't believe those charges went anywhere.

I have yet to work a case where the girl/woman took photos of the male's private parts. When dealing with the distribution of images of male members it is almost exclusively an image taken by the male himself.

Men also seem to be the most inclined to take images of their naked girlfriends for their own amusement ... at least until they get mad and then they end up online and everywhere.

Yes, there are exceptions, but I have yet to ever hear a first hand account of a girl taking an image of a male's assets ... though, if it is a consensual thing among two adults, I probably would never hear about it.

But, remind me sometime to discuss what I have found when conducting searches of cell phone pics on the phones of tweakers (users of crystal meth.) ... dear God!
