i work in a chiropractors office in Pennsylvania and i believe that they are committing a lot of insurance fraud. i know that they are charging exorbant amounts for things like stretching and are billing for treatments that the patients are not receiving. i may also have found that they are double billing for services on the same day when only one service is being given. i am self employed and have to pay out of pocket for my medical insurance and i have a hard time with doctors that feel free to take advantage of their patients insurance and the health insurance companies.
My question is this: Is there anything legally that i can do that will not come back and haunt me in the end?
i am planning on leaving that office and finding a job elsewhere. something needs to be done to protect the public.
thanks.
