My husband was killed in an auto accident by another driver who actually committed suicide while drving his truck. My husband was driving a rental car at the time of the accident. Is it possible the rental car company should pay damages?

My response:

Why? Under what legal theory, or contractual agreement?

The Estate of the suicide driver is responsible to you for the wrongful death of your husband. You should begin a wrongful death action against that Estate and Executor. Also, check to see whether there was any automatic life insurance coverage if your husband used his credit card (some CC companies have this provision, so check).
