What is the name of your state? (((Illinois)))
Recently my daughter inlaw told some very nasty lies to get a order of protection against me. These lies she has wrote are documented in the order of protection and I can prove that they are lies through documents and such. Does this sound like a slander suit and are those done through cival suits?
Thanks for your time.

My response:

Nope. You have nothing. Anything said in court papers, or in open court, is privileged. Your job, on the other hand, is to appear and fight the allegations with whatever proof you have. The Order may be dismissed.
