Possible Unlawful Residental Hotel Room Entry

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

I have security cameras in a residental hotel room.
I have video and photo evidence of several persons entering
and leaving this room on one specific date last month. I have contacted
the management several times expressing concern, with no response.
Contact has been via email in order to "document" the issue.
I am currently out of the state and not able to physically check the room.

Note: I have adressed other issues in the past via email
and received prompt replies, so not receiving any reply here, raises a red flag.

Is there anything I can do legally to force management's attention to this matter?
would a simple letter from an attorney, or possibly contacting my
local Tenanet's Union do the trick? If through an attorney, what would that cost me
approximately?

Are you talking about an employee entering, or a random stranger?

You did not state this, but, I assume this is a room for which you pay the rent and reside in? I also presume this is a week-to-week or, at best, a month-to-month rental and your payments are current?

Who were these people? How did they enter? What did they do?

And if you are out of state, why do you have a residential hotel room you don't stay in?

Take them to court for breach of contract ... assuming there is one. How about PHONING them? That way you can talk to a live body.

You can call the police and send them the video. MAYBE they will document it and talk to the management. But, if nothing was taken, and the entry appears to be by staff, chances are the police will talk to the manager and close the issue out as a civil issue not a criminal one.

I was unaware that tenants were unionized these days.

What would you want to pay an attorney a few hundred dollars to ask? "Why haven't you responded to my client?"

It is possible that since you are away they are checking on the status of the room periodically or there was a concern about the utilities. Since you are not there, for all you know they posted notice on the door that they would be entering in 24 or 48 hours to conduct some form of maintenance or inspection (as they are permitted to do).

You cannot FORCE them to respond to you.
