I live in Texas and ex lives in Oklahoma. During a phone conversation with my 4 yr old daughter, she informs me out of the blue that she is at home alone with the ex's live-in boyfriend and he suggested everyone take their clothes off and take a shower together. Because of communication problems with the ex, I tape all phone coversations with her and my kids. I have made my concerns very clear, in writing to her and her attorney, about her leaving my kids alone with this man. What should/can I do? I would rather be wrong than have something happen to my daughter.

Thanks

I am not an expert, in any sense of the word, but I have been in courts battling since 1988. If you are taping conversations without concent, it is considered to be against the law. My ex-husband attempted to use taped conversations in court and got a lecture from the judge. I also had problems with innapropriatness with my children. REPORT IT. Even if nothing comes out of it, make sure that you report it. I spent years trying to prove abuse, reporting, not always being believed, but it paid off in the long run. I now have full custody and he has no contact.

I made sure I have consent. I informed the ex that I would be taping ALL phone conversations. Thanks for the info.

Bumpy,
If you even Suspect that there is something inappropriate going on in your ex's house with your children, it should be reported to the OK Child Protective Services, or Regualatory commission, or whatever they call it.. there is a 800 # that you can get by calling 411. This is definitely not something you should sit back and worry about.
