What is the name of your state? NC

I was wondering about my escrow balance on my mortgage. I went thru a Chapter 7 and was discharged in December. I did NOT reaffirm my mortgage and last month, I decided to let my house go back to the mortgage company. I know for a fact that the house will not sell anywhere near the payoff on it. My question is that am I entitled to get the balance in my escrow back?
