What is the name of your state? Ky.
I realize that Kentucky's Post Judgement Exemptions are the same as the Bankruptcy Exemptions, but what exactly are they used for?
My automobile is valued at $1800, which is less than the exemption of $2500. Does this mean creditors can't put a lien on it or force a sale?
If our house has more equity than mortages plus exemptions and creditors force a sale, do they have to pay my wife and I the exemption amount out of the proceeds, even though the proceeds won't cover the credit card company debt?
Any help explaining the meaning of these exemptions would be appreciated.
