What is the name of your state? Texas

I am a freelance Web designer and I have a client that insists that I post news stories in their entirety (including logo and any pictures) on their Web site. I tell them that this is copyright infringement, but they disagree. Here is an example of what I am talking about:

The client wants a news story from the CNN Web site to be posted on their own Web site. They want me to copy the CNN logo, the entire news story, and any pictures and post it on their Web site. Granted, they do provide a link to the original article that resides on the CNN Web site. I believe this is illegal and constitutes copyright infringement, and violates the The Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998. Am I right? Should I be doing this for the client? Any advice is helpful. Thank you.

My response:

Have him sign a waiver of liability and hold harmless agreement in your favor. That way, when you and he get sued, he'll be paying for your defense, your costs, and your damages - - as well as his own.

If he doesn't have this kind of money, then don't bother, and tell the client to "kiss my grits."

Thank You

Thank you for your advice and input. I thought it was illegal and constituted copyright infringement. Mama didn't raise no fool! Thanks again. I appreciate it.
