What is the name of your state? CA

Long story: Reader's digest version: Co-Working asked me to dinner, and we dated for a short period of time. I had NO idea he was married (stated he was divorced) until his WIFE called my home. At this point I ended all communication that was not business related. Months go by, I get a call from our HR department that she (wife) has called them and threatened me. I blow it off as an angry wife and go on with my life. Since then I have received postcards in the mail entitled "www. Homewreckers.com, A services for Whores who steal husbands", a note reminding me to get a papsmear since I am a whore and should be worried about what I might catch", as well as "whore" type voice mail at work and just found out that I have been posted by his wife on a site called www.cheatersnews.com". My picture and where I live has been posted with all kinds of discusting lies about myself and my children.

Is this a crime? and can I sue? Its been almost a year since I have even had any business contact with her husband as I changed jobs to avoid him and his psychotic wife?

Nothing you have so far posted rises to the level of an actionable case. You did actually have sex with her husband and where I was raised, that's a cheater.

Unknowingly... IS HE not the cheater?

Men who play off themselves as single/divorced, have no consequences? Blame the woman,.. when she has no idea he is a cheat and liar. Hmmmm

Hmm, I must have mis-typed it the first time, it seems to work now. However, without knowing exactly what was said, it's impossible to state whether it's actionable. Generally speaking though, posting opinion(s) and/or public information (name, address, photo) is not something you can sue over.

Considering the nature of the site

I am heistant to send you to the site with my picture. I could copy and paste the comments later today. The site is BLOCKED, from my place of employment

I could understand the problem if the picture is "revealing", but otherwise, do you really expect anyone to recognize you here?

In any event, post what you like and we'll take it from there. But don't get your hopes up.

Posted comments on cheatersnews.com

BelizeBreeze, you are correct, it is NOT about him. It is the consequences that I am suffering after being misled, lied to and now blamed, slandered etc. I did what any self respecting proffessional woman would do.. I cut all ties, and conversation when I found out the truth. Not only am I posted on the net with my picture subjecting my children to danger of anyone psycho that has a problem with women, but there are freaks jumping on the bandwagon. Its a forum like this will stories that never happened by people I have never met posting things like...

I am a truck driver that met her at a Denny's and .... basically stating that I offered sex for a pizza for my kids. Never happened, I have never been in a Denny's in California in my life. It goes on and gets from bad to worse.

I take my kids to bars to hunt for unsuspecting men.. There must be something I can do, legally. I have ignored this woman's harrasment for 10 months...

If it's the post I think it is, (Trish?) fuggedaboudit. For starters, how would you intend on proving that the wife is who posted the original story (and probably all the responses as well)? And that's the least of your evidentiary problems!

I must be able to get her to stop

Leaving messages on my work voicemail.., etc. Her husband has clearances, well... maybe not for long since I reported it to HR. There are ethic/honesty concerns that may effect his security clearances.
