Will be asking father for power of attorney. Do I need lawyer to be present when he signs? Can I have one drafted and have father sign? Can I revoke anothers at the same time I am given power of attorney? Is there a p of A that is general enough to allow me to make all decisions for father? Is it as simple as my father signing a P of A?

Thank you.

A Power of Attorney must be notarized to be effective.

Get back the other one and have a certified letter sent stating that it has been revoked, and notify all persons or businesses that the former power of attorney did business with on behalf of your dad that it has been revoked.
