Okay this guy sent my credit to several banks trying to get preapproved, but I told him not to. I told him I would probably have my mother cosign so I can get lower interest since my credit isn't very good. There were also errors on my credit, but he sent it off a week later. Isn't this illegal? And what can I do about it? I REALLY did NOT want a bumch of "denied" on my credit report... Thanks

Write to the credit bureaus and ask them to include in their records a note to the effect that you did not authorize anyone to apply for credit on your behalf. But apart from that the damage was done and I'd bet if you tried to sue him he'd have a totally different story.
