What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Illinois. I am pregnant. My supervisor recently lost her pregnancy at 8 months. After I informed her of my pregnancy I feels she is evaluating my performance differently. And has now placed me on a written warning for poor performance. I feel as though she is discriminating me because of the fact that I am now pregnant. I am going to ask to me moved to a different department because I feel extremely uncomfortable and now feel like the situation has gotten personal. Would I be covered under the PDA?

are you doing less because of you being pregnant? Is she correct in her evaluation that you are performing poorly compared to pre pregnancy?

Speak to your HR department. You may tell them you feel that she is treating you differently, but make very sure your performance has not slipped. Show up, do your best, and make an effort to resolve this situation. Keep records of any incident with your supervisor, when you spoke to HR, and what has been said and done. Very specific incidents of her behavior would be necessary for further action. Have you thought of discussing this situation with her directly? When she gave you this written warning, did you ask her at this time if there was anything going on that had changed your relationship with her?
