its dad's daughter decision alone as wether to keep the baby, get an abortion, or place the child for adoption. neither you or dad have any legal rights to this child. nor do either of you have any say over the child.Short answer: No.
I would seriously judge any parent who would play that card.Grandparents have no legal rights or obligations to their grandchild. Parents are obligated to provide support (ie. a place to live) until their minor child reaches the age of majority (18 in most states).
But, are parents required to allow their minor child to have her/his minor child live in their home (ie. is there an obligation for a grandparent of a minor-aged parent to provide a home for their grandchild?)
Hey Kelly go away. NOW.its dad's daughter decision alone as wether to keep the baby, get an abortion, or place the child for adoption. neither you or dad have any legal rights to this child. nor do either of you have any say over the child.
Yes, but would it be legal? If so, where does the baby go? It seems that the spirit of the law would require grandparents to provide food and shelter for their minor child's minor child but without any rights to that child.I would seriously judge any parent who would play that card.
The grandparents have no legal obligation to support their grandchild - if they refuse to allow the grandchild to live under the same roof as their minor child, there are options; the most obvious of which would be contacting social services.Yes, but would it be legal? If so, where does the baby go? It seems that the spirit of the law would require grandparents to provide food and shelter for their minor child's minor child but without any rights to that child.
Ditto.I would seriously judge any parent who would play that card.
