Pennsylvania . I need access to my prepaid phone card records in order to get a finace visa. I am an american citizen who needs a fiance visa to wed in the UK. I have been calling my fiance from my sister's phone for months. But...I have been using a prepaid phone card so I wouldn't run up her phone bill. I was told I need to prove that my finace and I have stayed in contact with one another. I lived with him for 11 months last year. I came back to the states in Dec. and I have been phoning him on a daily basis ever since. I'm told I can not obtain these records without a supeona or court order. Even though they are my phone calls. It is going to cost me money for plane fare and the visa. at least $2,000. Now I'm being told I must get a lawyer so I can have proof of my own phone calls. Is there a way I could get these records myself. There is no use talking to the phone card people. they said its a federal law that these records are protected even from the person who the records belong to. It doesn't make sense to me. I have paid since march $2,500. for these phone calls but they won't give me my records. Its too much for me to have to hire a lawyer after all of my other expenses. I just want to be with my fiance.
