I am going through a divorce. My soon to be ex and I had paid for a Costa Rica vacation for this coming December. The trip is in my name. Can I legally cancel it and refund everyone's money?

Did you pay for it? Might as well just find a friend or a "friend" to take with you instead of him. That being said if you definitely don't want to go then most companies have cancellation policies that will let you cancel, you might lose a bit of money but it won't be nearly as bad as having to pay for the whole thing.
