I live in Colorado. I worked for the federal government. I had Pacificare Medical insurance at the time until 06/11/2001. We have open season every year to change to another plan the year before the new insurance takes effect. I selected another insurance, but the employer did not process my change until I made some inquires and they said they would look into it and work on. I still needed my meds and had them filled through K-Mart. K-Mart was still using Pacific Care and OK'd the refill and the co-payment. The bill states that I owe 4 medication refills, 2 for 7/23/2001 and 2 for 08/09/2001.

Am I liable for repayment of the medications that I have been sent a bill for?
