What is the name of your state? Ohio
If I have 1 year on onr county and 1 year in another right next to each other, if I get a DUI lawyer can I get that time combined so I could do my time in Prison instead of going County to County.. Dont want Probation from Either county so I would just like to do the time and get it over with. Also, If I do time in Prison, is there anyway that time will be cut in half or what, not to sure how the prison system works... I would be going for a 3rd DUI which would be a Felony.

It all depends if the judge sentences the time consecutive or concurrent? If it's concurrent then all you have to do is 1 year in county. If it is consecutive then you will be going to prison. They stop the 2 for 1 days awhile ago, I think you will have to serve 85% of your sentence. There will most likely be a probation period after your incarceration whether you want it or not. When do you get sentenced and why is this what you think you would be getting?

Well, I go to court Wednesday... I have 162 days on the shelf in Hamilton, and 1 year in Clermont. Dont even wanna deal with either county, just wanna do my time in prison cause I've leard probation sets you up to fail, ...then they put you right back in and I wanna move to Tenn once this is done to finish my degree. Would I need to get a lawyer to get this time combined??? If I do all my time, they cant put me on probation, Right???
They would have nothing to hold me on, and since my 3rd DUi is a Felony, I just wanna move on , I quit drinking 2 months ago, aint worth it... and from what I know from a good friend of mine, Prisin is alot better than county jail.

The sentence depends on the Prosecutor and the Judge.

Whether it's county or prison, each of your attys should request that any jail time "may be served in any penal institution", and you need a concurrent sentence on the last sentence.

Maybe a law degree, all we need is another jail-house lawyer:rolleyes:
Maybe he won't want to get out earlier after Bubba makes friends?

And you want to believe your so called Friends on what jail and prison life are like ?

Are these the same types of Friends you plan on hanging with once you get your degree ?

You better think out of the right end , or continue on as you are , your choice .

A little tiny hint : The Judicial system will give you an opportunity to get on the straight and narrow , by way of probation . They are not out to get you .

It says something about you that you have so many DUI's that you have to ask your question. Enjoy your stay whereever you are sent, BTW, ask your friend about what Bubba will do to you in prison?

Be sure to tell all your friends bye because on 3rd offence you are probably going to be gone for a while.Hope your Judges don't combine sentencing because you committed the dui in different counties.

Now , no one here can tell the poster the outcome . If He don't want to accept probation , it's his choice .

He however is insisting the legal system sucks as is against people . Judges give criminals breaks every day . They can chose to better themselves , or always have the attitude the system is out to get them .

Oh yeah the offenders that have done prison time seem to like it better there , than County Jail time . Why I don't know . Sentences are longer doing State time .

And we are not ALL Idiots , TY .
