Recently people on the web forum located on the website of the local newspaper have been posting inaccuarte and harmful information about a student at a local school. The student has not been named specifically, but they have mentioned that "she is head and was head of the drill team". There is only one person in the whole town that this can identify. They have been posting information that is hearsay because we all know that infomation about a minor can not be given out by the police. This young lady needs help and she nor her parents no where to turn. If this forum were posting the truth it would not be a problem, but they are posting only what is being passed around the community.
Is there anything that can be done????????
Here are some of the things that are being posted.
In the Picayune Item the report stated that the student was arrested. This is erroneous reporting or an outright lie. There were no arrests made. It appears that our elected and appointed officials see their duty as serving each other first and the general populace when it is convienient. All men were created equal but it is glaringly obvious that around here some are more equal than others. One would somewhat expect these types of shenanigans from a board up of "good old boys" and "disabled" persons who can garden full time yet receive what is evidently a very good living subsisting on the public dole while not being subject to the same taxes and regulations that they repeatedly impose on their subjects. However, the Police department shoud be above the cronyisms and nepotism that abounds in our elected officials.
THIS IS INACCURATE BECAUSE THE STUDENT WAS ARRESTED.
Thats right she head of the DRILL TEAM got 9 days!!!! wonder what would have happened if she would have used it.
It wasn't her position (past tense) on the drill team, its "who's your family", House arrest? with privileges of course! I'd like to know why the girl that she hit in the head with a beer bottle hasn't pressed charges. This is what started the whole incident.
THIS POST BASICALLY NAMES THE STUDENT BECAUSE THERE IS ONLY ONE HEAD OF THE DRILL TEAM.
THIS IS JUST A FEW THEY ACTUALLY TOOK THE OTHER POSTS OFF BECAUSE OF THE INFORMATION THEY DISCLOSED. BUT THE SAME PEOPLE JUST KEEP POSTING ON OTHER FORUMS. THE OTHER INFORMATION THAT IS BEEN POSTED IN INACCURATE AND SOME JUST OUTRIGHT LIES. SHE IS 17, ALTHOUGH SHE IS NOT PHYSICALLY BEING HARMED BY THESE POST, HER REPUTATION IS. BECAUSE THE TRUTH IS NOT BEING TOLD ABOUT THE SITUATION.
