Hi all, I recently contacted someone about a computer system that I saw on ebay, I contacted him to ask if he had another one I could purchase instantly for $2500. He said he did and he would. He asked me to pay by cheque and I did. Since then the cheque has cleared and I have received no item, and when I email him I get no response, it has been 3 weeks now, ebay can not do anything either as it was not done through ebay!

Is there ANYTHING I can do to get my money back! Please help me! :(

Regards,

Mark.

Ermm... the seller is located in the UK, England.

Thanks,

Mark
Why in the hell would you buy a computer from someone in England? It can take weeks for items to get through customs alone and don't be surprised if they want to see what is on the hard drive. P.T. Barnum was right.

If you're willing to spend for airfare and possibly retain a solicitor for the case
(if you can prove you have one), you might want to factor those in against
how much you lost to the guy.

Your case can be summed up in 2 simple words: buyer beware.

He he he, if you're referring to the saying "There's a sucker born every min.",
actually PTB didn't say that. Here's the real story.
