What is the name of your state? Ca.
Escrow has finally closed & the next probat hearing ia feb 17th, it's the accounting of the estate..
someone told me that the funds will be divided prior to this hearing & the excutors provide the court with that information on feb 7th?
I'm worried if the funds are divided after probate concludes i may not receive my equal share, cuz the excutor is my sister who would love nothing more than to give me abolutely nothing.
I've read alot of nightmare story's about excutors & i would like to avoid being a victim to the excutor of my mother's estate. Thank You.

A: Go look at the probate file in the probate court in the courthouse where the probate estate is. It is a public record. The executor will have to report to the judge. If you sign a receipt, then that means you are happy with what you got so do not sign anything till you are sure that what you are getting is your legal share.

A: Yes.

A: I would've preferred a bond for the whole amount on an out of state executor, but apparently the judge here was satisfied that it was okay for a 50% bond.

A: Once you sign, it's all over with.

A: Don't sign and then you won't get cheated.

Go read the probate file and stop all this "even-if" stuff.

You're asking a bunch of hypotheticals that no one can really answer to your satisfaction so start doing your own investigating.
