My response:

There's nothing you can do. We have treatment centers in California, so you don't need to leave the State. Look, you're on probation. Imagine the borders of this State as "bars" on a cell. You can either remain within the jurisdiction of California to complete your debt to society, or you can finish out your sentence behind REAL bars. Criminals don't get to travel. Quite frankly, I'm not very thrilled with the concept of "probation." Criminals should always be behind bars.

So, take your choice.

well i believe in chain gangs, hard labor and torcher but that's my opinion thanks for yours. Then there is law and unfortunatly since 1903 here in los angeles someone decided that probation is the option for certain crimes.

My response:

Good! I'm not arguing for or against "probation", per se. Unfortunately, it's a fact of Penal life that I'm not thrilled about. I'm just giving you my impression and opinion about it. But, the issue in your thread is whether or not you can leave the State of California - - and the answer to that is "No." You owe me, and the rest of the citizens of California, a debt. So, I want you right here, paying your debt to me. I don't want you going anywhere, and that's exactly what your P.O. will say to you, too.
