What is the name of your state? Virginia
So as not to draw this out to much, There is a person in jail in St. Petersburg
Florida, he violated his probation. I believe his origional charge was for domestic assult and stalking. He has been in jail now 2 mths. and is due to go back for his court apperence to see if he will be released.
Because I know this person and have been communicating with him via phone calls, he has some how become very transfixed on me and say's some really
weird things. All of the letters I have received are really kind of out there.

My question and concern: He feels he might go to prison on his court date.
He is really hoping to be released because of time served.
I really am not sure of the severity of his case, However is letters are a bit cause for concern.
Should I alert the jail?

If I have not given you enough info please let me know.

The letters that are being sent.
One of them was so bad and sexual in nature that it actually scared me.This guy was my ex sister in-laws boyfriend and I was only trying to help him when I found out he was arrested. His mother is 81yrs, and now is alone.
I was only trying to help them.
This guy seems to be a bit confused and seems to think I like him.
I have explained in no uncertian terms I'm not intrested.

Why should I run?
He is still in jail....However if he gets out then I have a different issue.
I did not realize when I was trying to help that he had some real issues.
He obvioulsy has my phone# and address. I have had to take my voice
off of my answering machine because he will tell me that he calls my phone
when I am at work just to hear my voice.

That's why I was hoping someone new a little about stalking and should the jail be notified before he returns to court for his probation violation.

The thing is Margie, is you haven't really told him (as far as your post indicates) to stop it.

I am sure that the probabation officer might be concerned if there was anything of a violent nature included in your correspondence.
