What is the name of your state? Hawaii

I was in the process of negotiating a settlement with OCWEN on one of my credit cards and then all of a sudden today they said that their going to go after my mother. She had helped me out in the past by making a few payments on the card. I told them thats BS since she didnt sign any contracts and they didnt even have her social security#

My question is can they do this legally or is it an emty threat to try to gain leverage? I have done some research on OCWEN and found that they have a class action law suit pending for bad buisness practices. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Sounds like Household sold off your accout to OCWEN bank.

If your mother was never on this account, then she is NOT liable for any part of YOUR debt and they cannot pursue her to make her pay. If they do, sue 'em !
