Problem with hotel

I live in NY and was vacationing at a 5 star hotel in Las Vegas when the person I was staying with decided to call security to take my room key and have me removed. My question is how do they determine who is allowed to stay, since I was a registed guest and had a room key along with the other person. Is the only determining factor that my name was not on the bill? I am considering a lawsuit from being forced out in the middle of the night.

Whom were you sleeping with and how were you connected to that person? What reason did they have to get you out?
The determing factor is the reason you were asked to leave.
Were you underage a prostitute or what?
