My best friend's cellular phone is under my account. She hasn't paid me for the bills for months. I recently suspended the phone so she couldn't use it anymore. Her last bill is $815.00. I've been trying to talk to her, but she's hiding from me. She owes me money from the previous bills already. They promise to pay me every week but they're not doing it regulary. I really want to talk to my "ex-bestfriend" so that we could go to cellular phone and settle this matter. Going to a small claims court is also an option....but is there any easier way to settle this? i also want assurance that she's gonna pay all the money that she owes me.

Please i really need your help...
If i go to a lawyer and ask for advice regarding this is it gonna be really expensive?

Q1) "but is there any easier way to settle this?"
A1) 'Simple' is relative. You could kidnap her and force her to pay for her release. You could steal one of her checks and make it outside to yourself in the amount of the dispute. Or, you can quit 'playing games' and file a small claims action to try to recover your damages.

Q2) "i also want assurance that she's gonna pay all the money that she owes me."
A2) Okay, consider yourself 'assured'. Problem is that is the best 'assurance' you are going to get.

Q3) "If i go to a lawyer and ask for advice regarding this is it gonna be really expensive?"
A3) If you consider $100 or $150 'expensive' then the answer is yes. If not, then the answer is no.

Sorry, if these answers seem 'flip' or make light of your issue, but you have really asked some questions that can't be answered by ANYONE who doesn't know YOUR situation and the ease/difficulty of proceeding against this 'friend'.

THIS IS A VERY DELICATE SITUATION. THE REASON BEING SHE YOUR EX FRIEND IS NOT ON THE PHONE BILL AND ONLY SHE CAN RESOLVE THIS. UNLESS YOU HAVE A SIGNED STATEMENT FROM HER AS A RESPONSIBLE PARTY TO YOUR PHONE BILL IT IS TOUGH TO PROVE THAT BILL TO BE HERS.
