What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

Here's the thing:

My wife had been working for 2 and a half years with a company. She got a better offer at another company and quit her job and went to the new one. She was fired from the new one within 1 month. She filed for unemployment. She was denied unemployment and the reason was:

She voluntarily left her first job

They gave us the option to take it to court, but we thought there was nothing we could do, so we didn't do anything. That was 2 months ago.

Can we still do something?

Thanks!!!What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Under Florida law if you don't make at least 17 times your weekly benefit amount with your most recent employer then the separation reason from the second-to-last employer must also be non-disqualifying.

In your wife's case, she did not make 17 times her weekly benefit amount and the separation reason from the second-to-last employer was disqualifying (voluntary quit) so she is not eligible for benefits.

Sounds like the deadline for an appeal is past anyway so my explanation is moot.
