I've been having some issues with my school, and I've become so fed up with them as of late that I decided to file a complaint and be done with it.The process with filing a complaint has you contacting their compliance department via e-mail and requesting a complaint form, then you fill out the form (which is a PDF file) and forward that to their Student Relations Department.

I requested a complaint form, and when they FINALLY sent it to me,I opened it,began filling it out,and immediately began noticing a problem. When I would enter text that didn't fit into a field on the PDF form, rather than the field expanding to fit the text, the text size would shrink so that all text entered into could fit in a single line across the field.By the time I'm done entering in my complaint, the text is 1px in size and completely unreadable.

When I encountered this problem I thought that I was the one to blame.I have little to no experience with PDF files,so I just assumed I did something wrong. But when I contacted someone at ADOBE to get assistance with the problem, they informed me that I was not to blame, and that it was designed by it's creator to behave that way.

I tried calling my school's Student Service Department, and when I asked to speak to someone in their compliance department, they told me it was against policy to allow students to talk to anyone in that department over the phone, and that I would have to contact them through e-mail.I write these people an e-mail,and they DON'T RESPOND.Now throughout this whole process,I've tried my hardest to be a good person.I've said plenty of pleases and thank yous, even when I felt like I was being given the runaround, but at this point I've had enough of these people. But I want to try one more time, and here's where I need help:

Is there ANYTHING,some right or law or rule, that I can utilize to make these people let me speak to someone in their Compliance Department. At this point I'm about to say screw it and file complaint with outside organizations, but I want to at least try to talk to an actual human being about this.

If it matters,my school is located in Florida,in or around the Ft.Lauderdale area.

Thank you.

What school is this, elementary? Use a blank piece of paper and write as much as you want. When you are done, scan it with the original form as a pdf and stop worrying about people not answering your emails.

I don't know what you think they are not being compliant with, but here's an idea, HAND WRITE the necessary information on the form and attach additional pages if needed.

If the school is giving you so many problems that you need to complain about them, then what would make you think they would take complaints seriously?

I would say, send in the pdf with the 1pt font, and when they receive the complaint, they will copy and paste the text to another doc and enlarge it - if they read it at all. Does the school's website say that complaints will be followed up with? Start complaining to everyone you can think of. Do it in a fair, pleasant, non-aggressive way, and state facts and not emotions.

Is this one of those schools where they teach you not to use a space after punctuation? I've been trying to find out who is teaching that element of writing style.

Oh, come on now. You know that the internet is plagued by "the new grammar."

Adapt, or go extinct.

Mr. Nu Grammer is certainly capable of using a comma and writing a parenthetical phrase. I don't think grammar is his problem.

Because the lack of spaces is hard to read and apparently intentional.
After all my years of typing two spaces after periods and one space after commas, it would take a miracle for me to be able to change that. It seems rather ingrained.

Honestly, I didn't even notice OP did it until it was pointed out. At least his sentences made sense, unlike many posters.
