I am a sublease holder and I have been for about 3 months now. During
the month of February, the man who I signed the sublease agreement
with (he is the lease holder who is subletting to me) moved into the 4
bedroom apartment with all of the bedrooms occupied. I am wondering if
a)if it is illegal for him to move in with us?, b)if he can evict us
at any time without any due cause?, and c) is he considered my
landlord or is the actual owner of the apartment building my landlord? Thank
you!

Read: Subletting or Assigning Leases

If the LL gave permission then the person(s) subletting and paying the rent have the rights to the apartment , not the original lease holder .

Is it a legal sublet .

Is the rent being paid by the person subletting ?

It is a legal sublet....this lease holder has been doing subletting his space for about two years now and has worked out a situation with the landlord...so the landlord is well aware that he is subletting out the space....and the person who is subletting (myself and my roommates) are all paying rent and utilities....and thank you for the URL to the Tenant's Rights Guide!
