1. I opened a web hosting account with an ISP on behalf of my employer in September, 2004
2. I opened it with a company credit card and listed the company as the contact
3. They never succeeded in providing the service
4. We cancelled the service
5. We cancelled during a "free trial" period
6. In 2005, I discovered that they had entered a charge off on my credit report for the amount of $70!
7. They claim that this charge was for account setup
8. I never received notification, nor did my employer
9. they claim that notification was sent by email
10. My employer paid the $70 and wrote a letter confirming that this was not a personal account, it was a company account
11. They claim that the terms of service in the contract included a clause in which I personally took responsibility for the account
12. I requested a copy of my contract and they refuse to send it to me.
13. I disputed the charge off on my credit report and they refuse to delete it
14. This company has a terrible record in billing and customer service, with 15 open claims in the NC DA's office and the BBB of NC says that they have a pattern of complaints for billign practices.

Please give me some advice on what my next steps can be.

Thank you,

Sorry, that's not the point....

My employer paid the $70. The problem is that they have a $70 paid charge off on my credit report and I want to force them to remove it
