What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

I was layed off from my company Oct 3,2008. I was told that I was not legally terminated for 60 days. At that time I would receive my profit sharing and personal savings money. Now I am told that it will be an additional 3 months. Is there a time limit on when they have to make these payouts? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

No, there is not. It depends entirely on the wording of the profit sharing agreement.
