My landlady had promised that the trailer i rented from here would get underpinned in a few months after she gathered some quotes. i lived there for 8 months and this never happened and i do believe there is a law in Lexinton county SC where I live that all trailers are to be underpinned. i owe her 1 1/2 months rents from getting behind 1 month and she wants to charge me for the 10 days i was still there in October. Isn't there a law that if a landlord promises certain repair are going to be done that i do not even have to pay rent until they are done, also we never had a written lease agreement i thought the rent was 250 and she told me no i told you 325 which i am certain she said 250 the first time i had ever spoken to her.

You will learn a good lesson here......

No amount of education will cure her of being a trailer trash landlord

Never live without a lease, and NEVER NEVER NEVER assume what the rent is....

The only way really to prove the rent is $250 is if she advertised in the newspaper and stated the rent.

You can go to the Public Library and make a copy of the ad.
Yes landlord can he held accountable for repairs and you might be able to withold rent if they are IN WRITING!

Best to start packing today!
