What is the name of your state?In the state of Kentucky, is it mandatory to charge interest on a Promissory Note? My husband and I are going to pay off my mother's credit cards. We want her to sign a Promissory Note for only the principle amount. We have been told that we have to include a minimum of 6% interest on the note. This make no sense to me :confused: Diana
