I was wondering in the State of California, what is the proper way to be served a "Notice of Intention to Terminate Tenancy~Thirty Day"? Does the date have to be filled in completely ?And how is this supposed to be served to a tenant?

Wha do you mean does the date have to be filled in completely? The date must state the month day and year ie. December 30 2000. And the notice is suuposed to be served on a silver platter.

In New York State, specific date would have to be included. Otherwise, a court might construe notice to mean last day of month and give tenant maximum advantage.

Method of service governed by statute, or by lease agreement.
